Continuing Professional Development
Hong Kong industries are moving in an added-valued hi-tech direction, and to promote our own industry, members must avail themselves of the human resources developed through training and self-upgrading. Our Association is full support of industrial education, and has organized numerours talks and management courses for members to improve themselves.

Overview

The pace of change is very rapid in this knowledge based age and the need for continuing professional development is fully recognised by the HKJJA. To assist in this endeavour, we regularly run a variety of seminars and courses on topics of relevance in the jewellery field, both technologically and business based. Recently, the following were offered:

Seminars:

  • Business Risk Management Strategies
  • ISO 9000
  • Enterprise Information Asset and Data Security
  • MPF(Amendment) Bill
  • Unsecured overdraft

Courses:

Coaching for Service Performance
Hands-on Approach on Prototyping Design and Production

In an effort to improvement management in the widst possible sense, the Association has applied to the HK Government "SME Development Fund" for support for the following projects:

  • Six Sigma management
  • Professional best practice manual
  • HK Jewellery Technology Conference

The Association has a self- service library in it's Hung Hom headquarters, with an extensive collection of local and worldwide jewellery magazines and books, trade publications, newspapers and market information. Members can have immediate access to this valuable information source for knowledge enrichment, research and professional development.
