Promotion of New Technology
Hong Kong industries are moving in an added-value hi-tech direction, HKJJA is in full support of members to upgrade themselves through the introduction of new technology and the seminars.

Overview

The jewellery industry still relies significantly on skilled craftsmanship in finishing the intricate, individualised pieces so highly prized and admired. It is however very important from a business viewpoint that the product cycle from design to delivery is as efficient as possible and the quality of all elements such as materials, processes and inspection is of the very highest order. To this end, we strongly support the introduction of new technologies and have run a number of seminars, workshops and courses for members including the following:

  • Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD / CAM)
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • Materials processing

We also support the continuing development of the HK Jewellery Industry Technology Centre, based in the HK Productivity Council, which provides integrated support services to the local jewellery industry.
